Diverse coalition hosts annual Youth Safety Workshop
2nd annual forum designed to inform, empower youth to effectively handle contact with law enforcement
Guided by a desire to help improve relationships between youth and law enforcement, a diverse coalition representing public and private interests hosted its annual Youth Safety Workshop on Saturday, June 8 at Sedway Middle School, 3465 Englestad St.
The workshops featured videos, interactive discussion and presentations designed to stimulate thought and dialogue and to educate young people about their rights and responsibilities when interacting with law enforcement. The event was free and open to the public.
